ultrasonic case guides the blind (SAMSUNG)

The Ultrasonic cover is one of three new gadgets for users of the Samsung Galaxy Core Advance that require special assistance

The case allows visually impaired users to detect obstacles and navigate unfamiliar places by sending an alert through a vibration or TTS feedback.

Users simply hold the cover in front of them as it enhances their awareness of their surroundings by sensing the presence of a person or object up to 2 meters away.

Secondly there’s the Optical Scan Stand which positions the device to focus on printed materials, automatically activating the Optical Scan application, which recognises text from an image and reads it aloud to the user.

This is particularly useful when a consumer is alone, automatically initiating the application to read text as soon as paper is sensed on the stand.

Lastly is the Voice Label, designed to distinguish objects by allowing users to make notes and tag voice labels.

With NFC technology enabling a seamless connection to their smartphones, users can record, stop and access their notes.

This feature can also help a user distinguish how to use electronics by allowing them to record a short explanation.

The Samsung Galaxy Core Advance is one of Samsung's low-end models.

The new Galaxy Core Advance accessories are already available and are offered separately from the handset.
