iOS 8 image leak

Apple is expected to unveil iOS 8 at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June. However, in the meantime, the first picture of iOS 8 has been posted on Chinese social media site Weibo.
The image clearly shows the icon for Healthbook – widely expected to be a major feature in the next version of Apple’s mobile platform.
In addition to Healthbook, the image also reveals that Apple is planning on bringing Mac OS X apps Preview and TextEdit to iOS 8.
The image appears to be a very early build of the software. While the icon for Healthbook appears to be finalised, those for Preview and TextEdit appear to be placeholders.
According to sources “in the know”, Apple is planning on optimising both apps for iOS. The sources said that they will be used to view files stored in iCloud, but that users wouldn’t be able to edit them.
Both applications use those logos on Mac OS X. However, they don’t fit in with Apple’s flat design approach adopted in iOS 7.
Several publications – including 9to5Mac – have said their sources have confirmed the image as genuine.
