Thief has debuted in first place in the UK's video game retail sales chart. Square Enix's stealth adventure racked up the second highest sales for a first-ranked game this year behind FIFA 14, with PS4 and Xbox One copies accounting for 75 per cent of the sales.
Thief's sales knocked last week's leader, The Lego Movie Videogame into second place, while FIFA 14 dropped a position to third.
Elsewhere in the chart, the knockabout third person shooter, Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare entered the chart in fourth place, in spite of only landing on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms. The other new entry in the chart was Konami's third-person vampire adventure, Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2, which managed to sink its fangs into tenth place.
