The Samsung Galaxy S5 was unveiled at the end of last month. However, Samsung has yet to announce launch information or pricing.
Despite that, information on a phone that could turn out to be the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo has been published online.
Indian website Zauba has a listing saying that a phone with the model number SM-G800F was imported into the country recently. The letter/number combination does not belong to any smartphone currently known.
While there is nothing in the listing to suggest that it is the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo, the price difference between it and the S5 is similar to that of the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 3 Neo.
It’s by no means a confirmation. However, we’d be very surprised if Samsung isn’t working on a Neo version of the handset already.
According to the Zauba listing, the handset was imported to the country for research and development processes. As such, it could be months before we see the smartphone that was referred to – if at all.
