However, the company has now announced that the low-end handset will be making its way to the UK.
The HTC Desire 310 comes with a 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. It also has a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek CPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB of storage (expandable via microSD), a five megapixel camera, 2,000mAh battery, 3G connectivity and Android 4.2.
The phone is only an slight bump in specs over the older Desire 300. The main change between the two phones is the removal of the soft buttons.
HTC has said that the phone will be available on O2, Vodafone and through the Carphone Warehouse.
The price hasn’t been confirmed for the device.
