The deal allowed those trading in their BlackBerry to opt for any device – including a new BlackBerry Q10 or BlackBerry Z10, as well as iPhones and Android smartphones.
In addition, T-Mobile offered those customers $50 (£30) off the price of the Q10 and Z10 if they opted for another BlackBerry.
However, despite that, 94 per cent of those that took up the offer opted for rival devices.
The figure comes from a leaked internal document. TmoNews reportedly got its hands on the memo.
The memo did not say how many people had taken T-Mobile up on the deal. According to a source speaking to TmoNews, the network considers the promotion to have been “very successful”.
T-Mobile has not commented on the story.
