Sony Xperia Tablet Z 2 Specs Leaked Ahead of MWC

That should make the second-generation Xperia Tablet Z zippier than its S4 Pro/2GB RAM-sporting predecessor, but the rest of evleaks' leaks suggest that the new device won't be a massive upgrade.

The forthcoming slate is said to have the same 10.1-inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel display as before, as well as the same 6,000mAh battery and 8- and 2-megapixel cameras.

The device is said to be slightly thinner than the already-slim Xperia Tablet Z, however, reportedly coming in at 6.4mm rather than 6.9mm. Evleaks also claims that it'll be waterproof, which should come as no surprise seeing that it's a Sony device, and that it'll come with Android 4.4 (KitKat) right out of the box.

Sony's expected to unveil the Xperia Tablet Z 2 at the Mobile World Congress tradeshow next week.

We've reached out to the company for comment, and we'll update this post if we get any confirmation on these leaks.
